Love in the Times of Absence (and Presence) is a reflection upon what is distance and absence in the context of our hyperconnected world in comparison with the pre internet Era.
My mother and my father met in London in the late '70s: he was working there and she was on holiday. They came from the same country, Italy.
They fell in love but after a while she had to come back home and he had to stay to keep working.
They were sending each other at least a letter a day.
She was drying flowers and attaching them to hand-cut letters.
He was sending her pictures and remnant from newspapers.
That is Love in the Time of Absence, it was the 1978.
